Bubba has conquered Everest!
Well, as Everest as it gets in our home – she climbed down the stairs on her own. Sure, they are only three internal stairs, but they are slate and they are a big obstacle for a small person. And take it from me, they are scary stairs which hurt like nothing else when you slam your toes into them in the dark in the middle of the night.
I think I can!
While she’s been able to crawl up the stairs for quite some time, getting down has been a different story. My little Love Bug who, less than two weeks ago, would walk to the top of the stairs and put her arms up so I could lift her down the stairs, now confidently strides to the stairs, waits for me to holds my hand with one of hers, gliding her other hand down the wall and steps down.
Then, over the weekend, I rounded the corner from the kitchen to the hallway and there she was at the bottom of the stairs! She’d managed to get herself, and the toys she was carrying, down the stairs all on her own.
I’ve got this!

Until this morning when she couldn’t do it and fell. We’re clumsy girls when we’re tired. Scared the life out of me as I was at the bottom of the stairs when she fell.
But she is willing to get up and keep trying
