The weight of the world

Earlier this week I took this photo of Bubba.

It was first thing in the morning and she looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She was okay once she’d been awake for an hour or so but I hate to think that Bubba is sad for any reason when she’s so young. Hey, if I had my way, I’d protect her from being sad always!

Sometimes we all feel like that though – I feel a little like it today. There is no apparent reason for it, I suppose we all have days when our shoulders feel a little heavier.

On those days, we need to try to remember what it’s like to feel like this instead - I took this photo yesterday morning.

It’s nearing the end of winter here and yet we had a crazy warm day – with summer temperatures and warm breezes.

Days when our shoulders feel heavy, we need to try to remember what it’s like to feel like we do in the second photo – walking together, warm and happy.

Sweet Bubba. Some time it takes a rainy day, to let you know that everything is going to be ok.

Remembering the good times always helps. I guess I have to remember when it wasn’t thundering.

  3. Do you know the song “You and me against the world” sung by Helen Reddy? It reminds me of you and bubba xx

  4. What a precious, pretty little lady that Bubba is!

  5. Very nice reminder and what a lovely photo of you and Bubba :)
