Remembering

I was asked to write a guest post for a lovely Australian site – The Parenting Files, and it was published yesterday. If you’re one of our newer readers (welcome and thanks for visiting!) it’s a snapshot of the background to my becoming a mumma. You can read it here.

I know I write every day on my own blog, but I still get such a thrill when someone else wants me to share part of our story on their site. I love that my courage to go it alone might just inspire someone else who is thinking about taking the same journey.

When choosing a photo to accompany the post, I ended up with one that was just a happy snap taken in hospital on day two of Bubba’s life. But I looked through lots and lots of photos before I decided – and in honour of (almost) Wordless Wednesday, thought I’d share them here.

These were all taken at home when Bubba was about six weeks old by our dear friend and wonderful photographer Israel Smith.

About bumpyroadtobubba

Mumma to Poppy Grace (born January 2011); forever friend to my furry buddies Bella & Bear; love spending time with family & friends, cooking, reading, writing, design & watching trashy TV (when I find time)! I try to perform one random act of kindness each day & think more people should learn a lesson in unconditional love & acceptance from our 4-legged furry friends. This is my journey to motherhood & beyond - single by chance, mother by choice.
