Late yesterday afternoon, Bubba and I met some friends at a little Sydney harbour beach. It’s a cute beach with deck chairs, lots of toys for the kids to play with (an honour system where you just play with whatever you want while you’re there and leave it behind when you go, such a great idea).

There’s also a kiosk that sells wine for mummas (well, any grown ups really) in the evenings during summer. Oh, and the friends we met have three kids who are all older than Bubba and doted on her. We had cheese and biscuits. And playing in the sand. And splashing in the water. And mumma chat.

Perfection!

(Just in case you’re worried – grandma! – Bubba was lathered in sunscreen and did have a hat on most of the time we were at the beach.)

This is my 500th blog post. And in two days I will have blogged every day in 2012. Uh-mazing. Thank you all for coming back for more and keeping me writing. I love it. And I love sharing our story.
