Visiting hours in heaven?

With a lot of sadness around losing furry and non-furry family members floating among my friends, one of my girlfriends made a comment that she wished dogs spoke English so that they could find people when they get to heaven.

What is heaven really like I thought out loud?

My friend liked my response so much that I shared it with someone else. Who also liked it. Then when this photo came up on my Facebook feed today I thought about it again (of course, there is a 4-legged angel or two missing from this photo!).

visiting hours

So here’s what I said.

In my very humble and not religious opinion, I think heaven is a place where everyone who is supposed to find each other from this life does.

All the little pieces of your heart that went missing while you were on earth come back to make your heart complete again when you get there.

And language (or barking) or time or space or age don’t matter a bit!

{Oh, and it’s about 26 degrees celsius and sunny every day and there are endless pristine beaches for puppies to run along!}
