Bubba has started taking more of an interest in girlie things. This doesn’t surprise me in any way, shape or form considering she’s my daughter, but it’s still fun to watch.
And even better to hear. I got changed the other morning while she was sitting on my bed prerry mumma. Thanks Bubba.
I can’t paint my nails if she’s around without painting hers too. Mumma has whatever colour mumma wants, and Bubba has a very pale pink. She surprised me on the weekend by putting her toes up so I could paint her nails after I’d painted her fingernails. Then she sat statue still for five minutes {um, she’s a toddler: they don’t sit still} with her fingers splayed out. Wet? she asked after a while. When I told her they’d be dry she laid her palest pink against my dark pink. Bubba and mumma prerry pink. Very pretty Bubba.
We went to Target on the weekend to pick up something {can’t remember what as we left empty-handed} but didn’t quite get out of the store before this happened.
Ballet mumma. Flowers. Pink.Prerry. Giving it a twirl for added effect, then deciding that perhaps two would be better than one. I told her they were too big. Too big she repeated, hanging them tidily back on the rack.
I’m thinking that was a definite glimpse into our future … I’m not so sure too big will work as well then.

Cute as a button, love Bubbas outfit!!
Some of my fondest memories are girlie time.
Wait a minute! They looked like they were exactly her size! Naughty Mumma!
Technically a size 2 should fit her, but they’re still too big for her – and there wasn’t a 1! I’m not the kind of mumma to be able to resist a tutu style pink skirt 🙂
