I may be a little biased but I really think my city is at its most amazing on New Year’s Eve.

Sydney Harbour is gorgeous at the best of times, but on the last night of the year it becomes a perfect backdrop for the spectacular fireworks displays we are famous around the world for.

It doesn’t matter how often I watch fireworks displays over the Harbour and Bridge, I am always blown away.

Last night I was lucky enough to be at a party of friends who live in an apartment block with at the water’s edge – with uninterrupted views.

I didn’t take these photos with my good camera, just with my phone.

That’s how amazing the fireworks were. Definitely worth sharing!
