On my nightstand

As I leaned over to turn my bedside lamp off last night, I looked at the items on my nightstand. What great stories people’s nightstands could tell – I think photos of nightstands would make a great coffee table book.

A photo of me and my Daddy – I was about three in this photo and I can see a lot of Bubba when I look at me!

The other photo also has particular fondness for me. My Little Sister was home for a visit (she was living her dream – on the other side of the world in New York) and she’d popped in for one last visit with Bella before she left. I had been at work that day so didn’t know she’d taken this photo.

It wasn’t until she’d left to go back to New York that I was scrolling through my camera and found this photo. She was with me even though she was thousands of miles away.

My favourite candles in the world are Voluspa. Gardenia are one of my two favourite flowers (frangipani the other – to me, they both smell like summer). This gardenia scented candle was a gift from my Little Sister.

Then there are the books:
– Bubba and my favourites
– Some I’ve read
– Those yet to be read (that pile is ever growing)

My beautiful and very girlie lamp. I love it, and have a matching tall one in the lounge.

And finally my sleep mask, which has Pampered Princess written on it.

A girl can dream…

  2. What a beautiful nightstand! I love the lamp. It’s nice to have floral scented candles on a night table when you can’t have fresh flowers all the time. Voluspa candles are gorgeous:) I love the tins, too. They look pretty when they aren’t in use and the lid helps keep the dust out and fragrance in.
