The essential ingredient

Bubba and I hung out in the kitchen last night. She in her high chair, me at the bench chopping and dicing. We had the iPod on shuffle. We chatted, we sang, we danced and I cooked.

I made her some gluten and sugar-free mini banana and pear muffins for snacks for daycare this week. And even this sugar addict mumma has to say they’re pretty good!

And I also made us a delicious no-stir sweet potato, eggplant, kale & thyme risotto, inspired by a recipe another mumma had posted on Facebook. SO delicious that I had to keep ‘testing’ it.

no-stir risotto to dive head first into!

Regular readers will know how much I love to cook and know that what my Bubba is eating comes from a good place. It’s cooked with the most important ingredient of all – LOVE!

While she thought cooking was distracting me and I wouldn’t notice what she was up to, Bubba fed a sizeable portion of her dinner (a delicious omlette) to Bella and Beary – her cheeky giggle gave her away, as did this rather guilty look on her gorgeous little face.

what do you mean who ate my dinner?
