Winter shadows

After our many sleepless nights, on Saturday grandma took Bubba to the park so that mumma could try to have an afternoon nap (aka a nanna nap).Β In pre-Bubba times, these were called a Disco Nap so that she had more energy for going out on Saturday night – ah, the memories of being able to stay awake past 9pm on a weekend!

I can’t help but wonder in years to come how much smaller this tree will look as she stands beside it – she looks tiny in comparison even rugged up against the winter cold.

Bubba’s happiness and her big gorgeous smiles have been hiding under her sad I don’t feel so good face of late, so it’s lovely to see her running around the park having fun!

She loves her grandma. Lots. (So does mumma who managed a 15 minute micro sleep on the couch with Bella and Beary.)

  1. It’s all about the hat! OMG! Cutest. Hat. Ever. Bella and Beary still call it a disco nap. Hmmm. I wonder why.

    1. Grandma bought her the hat at the farmer’s market before winter – it is the cutest! Every time she has it on Beary gives it a good sniff πŸ™‚

  2. Yay for Grandmas. Hopefully Bubba’s on the mend! She is so cute in her little hat and that smile on her face.

    1. Yay for Grandmas indeed. I’ve been looking for another hat to send one for your Poppy, but the lady we bought it from at the farmer’s market hasn’t been there since!

    1. It makes her really look like one of the pack πŸ˜‰

It’s hard to believe that it is winter where you and Bubba are. It is hot here! I love your memory of a Disco Nap! πŸ™‚
