Boisterous Love

Bubba cuddles her teddies and Bella (Beary won’t yet stay still for more than a pat!) with great vigour.

She will tackle the teddies to the ground or gather them up in her arms and cuddle them tight. She wraps her arms as far around Bella as they will go and nuzzles her face in.

Then she makes a noise – it’s kind of like a roar but she has a big smile on her face. Loving with reckless abandon.

Then – as I was spinning her around, cuddling her and kissing last night when I picked her up from day care – I realised why she makes the noise.

Because mumma does. Except mine’s not a roar. I’m usually nuzzled into her neck holding on tight giving her lots of kisses and telling her how much I love her and have missed her.

Because I have her snuggled in so tight, it’s probably a muffled sound that sounds like a roar.

Boisterous love.
