Interest, inspiration or addiction?

Or (d) all of the above?

I have a problem.

I am addicted to Pinterest.

It’s okay though, I know I’m not alone! The thing is, I don’t just pin and forget, which I think could be a trap people fall into. Oh, there are pins that I may have pinned for laters baby (sorry, couldn’t resist a little Christian Grey reference there) like how to get rid of your jiggly bits post-baby. Post-baby is the rest of my life, so I’ve got a while before I have to worry about that one expiring!

You all know I’m a foodie, and that I have a ridiculous sweet tooth. In fact, all of my teeth must be sweet – that is the only explanation for my love of anything sugary. So it’s no surprise really that my food & drink – sweet tooth board has the most pins. And it may be a little heavy on the salted caramel side of life too. I’m blaming my lovely friend Mel for that!

It’s my online vision board if you will. Which explains why there are dresses on there I’d love to be married (to this boy – or this one or this one) on (in an elaborate affair or barefoot on the beach), diamond rings (a girl can dream), beautiful homes and visions of what my body might look like when I eventually do something about the get rid of your jiggly bits pin!

I pin my blog posts to Pinterest. I find it interesting and inspirational for craft for Bubba, party and cake ideas for Bubba, food ideas for both of us, fuzzy love fun, celebration settings, ideas for photos, holiday wishes, architecture, home styling and fashion. Fashion I’ll probably never own or wear but my alter ego living a life of wealth and riches might; and fashion for an every day mumma.

Like today.

Inspired by this pin, today I’m finally wearing a striped body con dress I bought for the bargain price of $6.50 while I was pregnant. (I know, what was I thinking? Let’s just blame the hormones shall we.) But instead of wearing it with my jiggly bits on display, I’ve teamed it with tights, boots and an oatmeal sweater – a combination I probably wouldn’t have put together had I not seen it on Pinterest.

It’s cute. And oh so comfy. And a great trans-seasonal option.

Also, when I next board a long haul flight for one of those far off places, it will be the perfect travelling outfit.

Even Bubba wants a piece of it!

(I am wearing a scarf to completete the look, but couldn’t resist using this photo).

So I shall keep pinning. I suggest if you’re not already that you start too (and let me know so I can follow you). Be warned though: you will be like Alice falling down the Rabbit Hole. Time will disappear as you twist and turn through a world you never knew existed!

Inspired by a pin board; that is how it should be. But more pin, less blog 😦 You will have to find the balance. 🙂

    1. I’m still planning to blog every day – even after the 2012 challenge. My paid job may suffer though 😉
