Where’s Cat?

As I always do, I took snapshots of Bubba’s everyday things on the weekend. As I looked through them I noticed something.

Her cuddly Cat is in almost every photo!

It might be just a tail, or an ear, or a spot of ginger and white in the photo, but Cat is there, begging you to find her – a little like Where’s Wally?

Whether it’s at the mall looking at the puppies in the pet store (her first time because she’s never actually walked around the mall, she’s usually in the baby carrier or the pram). While she oofed and meowed at the animals, I talked to her about rescue pets and how important it was to not buy from pet stores. It’s never too early to start that message!

Or riding the escalator for the first time (with mumma gripping your hand ever so tight).

Or having a little afternoon tea of water and a home-made muffin. Which Cat got a sip and nibble of, of course!

Or doing some craft.

Or singing and dancing along with Elmo.

I think it’s fairly safe to say that Cat is the cuddly du jour. I have managed to ‘give her a bath’ once unnoticed, but learnt my lesson (the hard way) not to put her in the washing machine while Bubba is awake. Ever again. Oh the tears.

Luckily I hadn’t started the wash cycle in our front loader so was able to take her out and say that she’d been helping me like Bubba does to make sure the washing was all in the machine.

We don’t have another cat, nor can we get one – so we are keeping a very close eye on this frisky feline!

  1. How funny! I just sold a story to Turtle Magazine for Preschoolers about a little boy waiting for his teddy bear to come out of the dryer. He’s watching that round window waiting for the ordeal to be over for his little Petey. I’m not sure you get Turtle down there, but the story will be in next month’s issue.

    1. We don’t get that magazine here. Do you know if it’s online? I’d love to read to Bubba about Petey!

  2. It looks like they choose a few stories and activities from each issue to post online. This is their website. http://www.uskidsmags.com/turtle-home/ ….Maybe I’ll be one of the chosen ones!! 🙂

  3. That is so sweet! I love that you are educating her about pets from pet stores 🙂

    1. Rescue pets always in our family – and we buy our pet supplies from a pet warehouse which supports local shelters!
