Sleep, who needs it?

Monday night Bubba had been in bed for about an hour when she had a nightmare. A terrifying scream, cling to mumma for life kind of nightmare.

So for the second or third time ever she got into my bed. So did Cat and Easter Rabbit. And Bella. And Beary. Cosy.

She finally fell asleep a little before 1am. I waited until she was deeply asleep and carried her back to her bed. Her eyes opened the second I lay her down and she started to cry again. Back to mumma’s bed for us.

I wish I’d taken a photo of her and Beary about half an hour later, but I was worried about waking her up again. They were laying side by side on my bed, Beary on his back with his paws up in the air. Bubba was also on her back and she’d put her arms up to mimic him and had fallen asleep in that position.

Love Bug is a wriggler. She is also a kicker. {Her Aunty was a kicker when she was little too!} She kicked me in the back, shoulders and head approximately 487 times. Needless to say, I got maybe 90 minutes of broken sleep. When I opened my eyes finally, her little face was an inch from mine.

Hi mumma, I awake. Really Bubba? I’d never have noticed.

When I got out of the shower, this was what greeted me. What are you doing Bubba? I make your bed mumma.

Helpful little love, isn’t she?

  1. I can not get over how long her hair has gotten. Hope you eventually got some sleep.

    1. It’s crazy how long it is … and so healthy too! When it’s wet and straight it’s longer than mine. Her day care lady said to me it’s because of all of the wonderful, healthy food I make for her 🙂
