Bubba and I did something funny yesterday. It’s also kind of gross – and maybe a little immature – so if you are easily offended, you should probably stop reading right about now.
Bubba had finished her breakfast (in my lap again) and she burped. Which of course I thought was adorable. And cute. Because I don’t think I’ve registered her burping before. Bubba burps are usually followed post-haste by bubba pukes, but as she gets older I suppose there are going to be times when she burps and times when she pukes.
(I told you this post was kind of gross. But that’s not the gross bit.)
After I finished giggling at her and telling her how cute she was for burping, I did a fake burp (yep, that’s the gross bit) and do you want to know what she did?
Threw her head back, giggled, then opened her mouth really wide and made a grrrrrrrrr sound. She was trying to fake burp too!
I was – in the same moment – a little ashamed of my immaturity, but way more impressed that Bubba was fake burping.
I know, right? I’m a nightmare. And a juvenile one at that. I have no idea who in this house is going to play bad cop! Bella? Beary?
We need a grown up. Pronto.

Silly is important, whether gross silly, tummy rolling silly, or just plan immature kid silly! Silly is what silly is and if you can be silly with your kid then she will always be able to be silly with you. Keep up the good work brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrb (opps! sorry it slipped)

Have fun! Enjoy your time, be silly and enjoy each moment for they are precious. There is plenty of time to be a bad cop… but spend more time having fun. 🙂 How sute.. now when do we get to see this on you tube? LOL
