Beary is off to have a hair cut today. I’m taking him with a little trepidation – he’s never had a hair cut before – and he’s such a fluffy love!
But he has to have one. Being an Alaskan Malamute x Golden Retriever, he has a double coat. And for the past month or so he has been losing his undercoat (roughly the amount of a soccer ball each day!) and scratching. Our vet said the best thing for him is to have a good hair cut.
So this is his before photo – lovely fluff bum that he is!

Great photo! Good luck Beary!!!! I bet he will look great even if it’s a little shorter– how could he not with a face like that!? We need to get Chelsea’s hair cut soon but I keep putting it off because I don’t want anyone messing with her new fur/little leg 🙂

That’s a lot of hair coming out every day. You could make a few sweaters. Looking forward to the “after” photo.
He’s lucky, my breed doesn’t get clipped, we get stripped. Looking forward to spring…..
I have a double coat and I have been shedding too. Tall person has been combing out a bagful for days now! I do feel much lighter 🙂
I can’t wait to see the after-picture of Beary. I think he will look handsome. I am as sleek as a seal, but I still shed like crazy. Sometimes Mom says she’s going to throw me in the garbage and build a new dog out of the leftover hair. That makes me laugh…. Um… She can’t really do that, can she?
