I promised I would always be honest about my motherhood journey.
Some days are tough. I seem to have had a string of them lately and they’re really bringing me down. I chose to start this journey on my own, but I didn’t think I’d be alone for as long as I have been.
I know in the broader scheme of things I’m incredibly lucky. My family (furry and non) are all healthy and happy. We don’t live in poverty or famine or war.
But in my reality I’m sad today. Sad and lonely. Not alone, but lonely.
Nothing in particular has made me feel like this. Just a string of ordinary days.
I hope I wake up on the other side of the bed tomorrow morning.

I hope you wake up on the happy side of the bed tomorrow. Personally, I LOVE ordinary days. It means I don’t have to learn anything new, see anything scary, or do anything difficult. On ordinary days, you can cuddle and snuggle a little extra.

Being a parent is challenging. I’ve been right there with you in those feelings Sometimes I think we need those days to level us off. We are human and feelings are the reality of life. The good thing is that your not keeping it to yourself. This day will pass. Sure hope tomorrow’s a better day for you.
