Bones? Did someone say bones? Where are the bones Bella?

No Beary, when mumma said she was bone tired that means she’s as tired as tired can be. You know how sometimes she says she’s exhaust-piped? Well bone tired is even more tired than that!

Mumma updated her Facebook status at 3am (we know, because we were all awake again with our poor Bubba who is getting another one of those big nasty bottom teeth). She wrote: can someone write me a note for work today: can’t face world due to teething exhaustion/sleep deprivation? So here is that note…

Dear World

Please be nice to our mumma today. She’s very tired. She said that she should have washed her hair this morning but she couldn’t lift her arms up. We think her hair looks fine but you know what girls are like!

It’s funny though, because she managed to lift her arms up to pick up our Bubba again (and again and again during the night). Then she put her arms up to get our bowls for our breakfast. Then she stretched her arms out to give us all loves. She said that they were easy things to do, because she loves us. Maybe she just doesn’t love her hair today!

Then when she was making her bed, she didn’t even ask Bella to get off it, she just kind of straightened everything up around Bella (who was stretched out across the middle of the bed)! Usually she asks us both to scooch off the bed so she can make it with no lumps and creases.

Mumma will probably need lots of coffee. And chocolate. She’d like to not have to deal with buses and traffic and people and computers that don’t want to work.

She would really just like to lay down and snooze with us on the couch – that’s what we’re going to do today, on this rainy autumn day.

But mumma knows she can’t do that.

She has to look after us, and to go work, and come home again. So world, if you could make it 6pm as quickly as possible, so she can be home with us again, that would be great.

If you could be nice to our Bubba that would be good too. At least Bubba is at day care getting lots of loves, even if she has a very sore mouth because of her naughty teeth. She got another big tooth last night. She was very sad. So sad that even Beary snuggled up to her because she needed loves, and you know he doesn’t usually do too much snuggling near Bubba!
