As you’ll know if you’re a regular reader, on the 14th of each month (or close to it) I cut out some fabric numbers – the number of the month Bubba is entering – and attach them to the front of a white onesie and take some photos.
These photos start her new photo album for the month – and every five months they become the new masthead for bumpyroadtobubba’s website.
As I cut out this month’s number – 16 – I wondered when I would stop doing this. I had always planned to do it for the first 12 months, but beyond that I hadn’t considered when I started. 12 seemed to soon to stop.

So now I’m left to wonder – when do I stop counting?
It’s such a fantastic idea, I think you should keep going till she’s 24 months. I found with my eldest that once he reached two I started referring to his age in years rather than months. 🙂
I’ve seen another idea for yearly ones, but she needs to be 3 before we start them because we need to be talking about growing up! Watch this space …
Better go till 36 months then, the yearly one sounds interesting I will keep my eye out. 3 seems like a long way off but it will creep up on you. My big boys going to be 4 in a couple of months.
It really does go by in a heartbeat. Sometimes I’d like to hit the pause button … although I’d also like to fast forward through the teething!
What if you NEVER stop counting??? First day of school picture – 67 months….. College graduation…..256 months (I stink at math, but you get my drift) You may want to switch from a onside to a t-shirt, though!
I like it a lot!
This is such a gorgeous idea and an equally gorgeous photograph. I think you should probably stop by the time she’s 21. 😉
Yeah, 21 seems reasonable to me 🙂
I love this idea so much– too cute!!! Love the photo too 🙂
You’ll figure it out….. there’s no rules about this stuff ya know. Of course she’s probably going to tell you to cut it out by the time she starts school.
