Grandpa?

I’m going to start this post acknowledging that some of you are going to think I’ve lost my marbles. Others of you will not think I’ve lost my marbles at all, and will in fact have similar beliefs and stories. Whichever of those camps you find yourself in, I hope you come back tomorrow!

I respect that people believe in what they believe in. Some have strong religious beliefs, and that’s okay, even though I myself don’t. I do, however, as I’ve mentioned before, believe in guardian angels. Two and four-legged ones.

So it’s no surprise to me really that I’m almost certain my daddy and Bubba communicate. The same as it was in the last house we lived in, there’s only one place in our home when it strikes me that it might be happening, or maybe it’s just when I’m most aware of it. In our current home it’s in my bedroom.

It’s always at night just before Bubba goes to sleep. Her vision becomes fixed on a certain point and she babbles away, giggles and generally looks like she’s having a great time communicating with someone. And it’s not me or the dogs.

Last night I asked her who she was talking to (which I quite often do) and she looked at me and pointed at the spot on the roof where her eyes had been fixed. When I asked her again, she put her arm around my neck and pulled my face down beside hers as if to show me.

She’s definitely communicating with one of our angels. I like to think it’s her grandpa.

Even though religion and I have had a rocky road, I like to think that my daddy and all of our other angels and furry friends past are hanging out together having a good time while they watch over us.

Maybe they’ve bumped into Charles Schulz and Snoopy?

Ohmygoodness, I have so many stories where I’m convinced of the same! Such a lovely notion, isn’t it?

I hope she always has her guardian angel to talk to, its very important no matter who it is 🙂

  3. I believe it. There are things out there that can’t be explained and the very young seem to have that uncluttered connection.
