Tootsies

This isn’t a post about chewy candy, although given my sweet tooth you could be forgiven for thinking that.

I’m referring to the other kind of tootsies: the kind you find under the table.

A couple of weeks ago Bubba moved from her traditional high chair to one with a much smaller footprint, a chair that will grow with her and actually looks from above the table line like it is part of our dining furniture.

The fun thing about the new chair is that if she reaches her foot out as we sit together sharing a meal, she’s discovered she can touch my leg. And because it’s such a new thing she still gets a look of delight on her face when she makes contact and remembers.

Is that your leg mumma?

Okay, I’m just going to rest my foot here for safe keeping, and occasionally wriggle my toes a little and give you that I’m so glad you’re here smile.

I know I sound like a broken record, but the preciousness of that kid utterly slays me!

Can I ask what chair you bought her? Going through this transition at the moment & haven’t found one I like… Thanks
Love your blog, I have laughed & cried my way through your story over the past few weeks!

    1. Thank you – I love it when someone shares our whole story! Not sure where you live, but these guys deliver around Australia and this chair is as close to the Stokke Tripp Trapp for one third the price. It took her a week or so to get used to it, but now she loves it. x

You do not sound like a broken record, all those little things are what make this time in her life so special. Just enjoy every single one before she enters the next cute stage πŸ™‚
