The search for Florence

During the week Bubba and I found a note in our letterbox with a photo of a cat on it. Even though Bubba’s had a bit of a bumpy ride with cats (and their hot and cold response to her affection) of late, she was still excited to see the pictures of Florence.

Florence is a neighbourhood cat. And she’s missing. The note from her big sister (who is a puppy dog) says how much Florence’s family is missing her and would like her to come home.

I told Bubba that Florence is out playing somewhere and that if we see her, we need to make sure we take her home to her family. So we’ve kept the note and we look at it before we leave home to remind us to be on the lookout.

Bubba – ever helpful (and ever hopeful of cat loves) is doing all she can to help in the search for Florence …

If you haven’t already seen it, or you’ve yet to meet the very wise Bella and DiDi, here’s what they had to say when Bubba posed the age-old question: Why don’t cats love me as much as dogs do?

Gosh what a great pic. She just hasn’t met the right kitty yet. Florence was my Mom.

    1. We’ll take that as a good sign then that when she meets Florence she’ll be the right kitty!

I find that male cats are more cuddly, but more trouble makers, and girl cats, more aloof, but very loyal and steady. Her cat will come. Keep taking those wonderful shots. What a beauty your girl is. You better keep that bat handy to chase away the suitors.

      2. I think that too … and she’s 21 months! Moreso if she keeps developing such a gorgeous, engaging personality ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure her cat will come – for a girl who never ever ever thought I’d have a cat, I think my little love bug will change that outlook.

I hope that kitty finds its way home…. maybe Bubba will be that way.

  3. Just look at that face… major heart squeeze time! I do hope that You & Bubba, or someone equally as caring, find the kitty and help him get home.

  4. Awwww. How sweet that she’s looking for little kitty Florence. I hope she’s been found.

When my daughter was young, we had a cat that let her do anything to the cat. Put her in a doll carriage and walk down the street, walk the cat with only the back legs on the ground. It takes a special cat, and hopefully she’ll find it!

    1. Not too quickly I hope – I think one mumma and 3 kids is enough for now ๐Ÿ™‚ We’ll just give loves to neighbourhood kitties for the next few years. Good to hear that story though.

I hope she is soon found please keep us updated!! And how cute is Bubba?? Don’t worry I will love you enough to make up for the lack of Kitty love!!

    1. You look like you’re the perfect height for some extra special Bubba loves. Thanks for sending yours to Bubba. Our neighbourhood ginger cat made her cry again yesterday (running away from loves) so puppy loves aplenty is just what she needs. (And thank you, I think she’s super cute in my very biased mumma opinion too.)
