Thump thump thump

The other night when Bubba was giving Beary and Bella their pre-bedtime cuggles, Bubba was laying with her head on Bella’s chest and said something that sounded a lot like ump, ump, ump.

Then last night she said it again. I always say thump thump, swish swish because when the dogs are happy and wag their tails (like when they’re getting Bubba loves) Bella’s tail thumps, and Beary’s big fan of a tail swishes.

But as I put my head down to give Bella a cuddle I realised what Bubba was doing. She was imitating the sound she heard. The thump thump thump of Bella’s heart.

fuzzy love

I know, right? I may have shed a tear. (Or two.)

I can’t possibly sign off today’s post without saying the most enormous thank you to Bianca, who not only mentioned our blog and how much she loves it on this morning’s radio show, but she went on to read this post. In it’s entirety. On air. On the breakfast show. Amazeballs. If you can help Cilla and Jessie, and foster two of your very own ump ump umps – the details are here.

  1. I love when the dogs are all exhausted from the dog park and you can use them as pillows. Hearing their heartbeat is so relaxing!

Bianca has good taste! I hope those beautiful puppies find forever homes soon.

  2. Radio! Wow! You’re huge! How fun!
