Little things that are really big things

While remembering to breathe as other things don’t go exactly to plan, today I’m going to focus on a couple of little things. Little things that are really big things in our little world.

I have set Bubba up with her own email account and I’ve forwarded fun emails or things to her that other people have sent me about her. So that when she grows up she can read through them. Occasionally I send her a message from me. Just because I can. I’m sure she won’t mind me sharing this one that I sent her a couple of days ago.

Hi my Love Bug

I’m having a sad day today. They happen sometimes.

You know what just cheered me up? Remembering that last night you said ‘love you mumma’ as you were patting my cheek. I think this might have been the first time you said it without me saying it first.

What a wonderful treasure you are!

Love you all the way to the moon and back.
Mumma xox

The other little thing happened this morning when I was getting her ready. Dressing her is tricky because although she’s just turned two, she’s definitely not wearing size two clothing. This morning I put a pair of super cute shorts on her that she got for her birthday – only to realise when I pulled them up that she will probably wear them when she’s four! So today she’s wearing a top size 9 months and shorts size 18 months. Petite little miss.

I left her in my room with Beary and Bella and went to get another pair of shorts for her. When I came back she was sitting up with a huge smile on her face – and her right shoe on. And done up. On her right foot! She had the left shoe in her hands and was ready to put that one on too.

Yay Bubba! Yay yay yay. There were kisses and high fives and general merriment. There was even a woo woo of encouragement from big brother Beary!

shoes on, ready to go

I’m so proud of my Love Bug.

I want to just say a little thank you to you for your blog. This journey is so much harder than I ever imagined it would be, and whenever I’m feeling down and tried & tested you seem to make a new post which always makes me remember how worthwhile it will all be in the end!

So thank you to you, and your beautiful daughter 🙂

    1. I just got goosebumps reading your message! It is not an easy path to travel alone, but it is by far the most worthwhile path I’ve taken. You’ll get there too, and I’m excited to share your journey. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or just need to chat! x
