As my head cold moved in to stay last night, I was sitting with my three loves in the lounge room, just before Bubba’s bed time.
At one point I rubbed my face and Bubba asked you okay mumma? So I told her my ears hurt and my nose hurt and the inside of my neck hurt – we haven’t quite got around to learning throat yet.
She tilted her head to the side like Beary does when he’s concerned: poor mumma. Then she proceeded to kiss them all better. She has a runny nose herself so I’m sure she wasn’t feeling so great either.
When it came time for bottle and bed, she asked for another book and I explained that I still didn’t feel good and needed to go to sleep, so she said bubba read and read the story to me. Once she was done she closed the book and handed it to me. Cuggles now, giving big loves to Bella, Beary and mumma, then I carried her to bed without a fuss.
She is such a well-behaved little love, and I couldn’t help but give myself a virtual pat on the back for doing okay at this motherhood gig so far.
Today I’ll be under the covers with my fuzzy pals close by. The big wide world will have to wait until tomorrow for my company.

Get well soon mumma. And keep giving yourself virtual (or real) pats on the back. I often remark to Bel how in awe we are of your ability to keep your sh!t together despite being a solo Mum to a baby and two fuzzies… You’re amazing. Keep it up. xo
I hope you’re both feeling better. Having a cold is SO uncomfortable. Hang in there.
Hope you feel better soon
