Will I ever catch up?

I am so far behind.

Our house is a mess. Well, relatively speaking at least.

I have barely read any of my favourite blogs for a couple of weeks.

I am exhausted from concentrating so hard every day taking in my new job.

I feel like I’ve barely seen or spoken to my friends in ages.

My list of boring jobs to do seems to get longer every day.

I promise myself on the way home every night that I am going to attack some of those things.

Then this happens.

i carry mumma, love you

So instead of doing boring jobs, I spend time with my gorgeous three kids. Because for all of my years on this planet, there will be precious few I have this opportunity. So I’m not going to let it pass.

Once Bubba goes to bed, I get by doing the minimum of cleaning and washing, prepare us for the next day and collapse on the couch for a little bit of mumma time before falling into bed and doing it all over again.

I can’t help but wonder though: will I ever catch up?

Glad I’m not the only one that feels this way, but they’re only little once right:)

I’m the same and I’m not even working! my daughter is 21 weeks old and the days just go by so quickly, and she is very attention demanding at the moment which is fine, as I love just being with her and entertaining her. But I do have so much other stuff I need/want to get down but just can’t find the time for. By the time she is in bed I am so tired I just have time for a quick check of my blog/email/facebook on the computer and then it’s off to bed as I know I’m going to be up 3 or 4 times in the night to feed her! Oh well, one day I’m sure we’ll find time to do things. 🙂

    1. I’m not in a hurry for that day to arrive – it will mean our bubbas need us a little less!

Oh I know, I’m not keen for it either! Was just cuddling with Holly while getting her ready for bed, walking around the house with her and remembering the first night in the hospital walking up and down the corridors with her little face looking up at mine and I was just blown away with love for her.. It’s gone so fast already 😦

  3. Catching up is overrated. Cuggles and Kiddos are what life is about.

  4. All those tedious little tasks will always be there but the moments with your Bubba, Bella and Bear are just that…moments, so you just enjoy them, those daunting tasks will be there when you get around to it!

Embrace and spend as much time with your little ones…that’s, by far, the most important thing you can do. The rest of that stuff will happen.

Sounds to me like you have your priorities straight. The kids never complained about a house that was a little dusty, and that we did not vacuum the pet hair as often as Mom thought it should be done. What they remember is lots of together time and cuddles, and living a few life. Enjoy your day, the less important stuff will still be there, but at least your getting the important stuff done – that is Bubba, Bella, Bear and YOU.

    1. Some days I think I leave the house covered in more fur than the dogs! 🙂
