No sit mumma!

This directive is usually reserved for the exact moment I collapse on the couch at the end of a day … or {heaven forbid} just attempt to take a moment for myself. Yesterday it was a little different.

Bubba and I were making a quick market stop on our way home from ballet. We needed a few essential items – and we needed coffee. Ever since she was big enough, Bubba has been happy to sit in the cart seat and since she started drinking coffee, to drink it and chat with me as we wander the aisles of the market.

But not yesterday. Yesterday when I asked her why she didn’t want to sit?

I stand mumma!

Of course you do Love Bug, and you look ever so pleased with yourself too.

Today Bubba also wants to wish Uncle Kier good luck in his iron man and a very happy birthday – she can’t wait to help you blow out birthday cake candles!

  1. This makes perfect sense to me. Ballerinas do have perfect posture and an excellent sense of balance….

    1. I hadn’t thought about it that way!

Of course not. Why would she sit when she can stand and see more of what’s going by. There’s so much to see and learn out there, little Poppy! And tell your Uncle ‘happy birthday’ from a crazy mud-wallowing dog from Oregon!!

    1. Uncle Kier would LOVE Sage!

Another milestone, now I’m big enough to ride in the back of the cart 🙂

    1. I don’t like it – it’s all happening too quickly!!

Unfortunately, that part is also true. A great accomplishment but time passes. It would sometimes be nice to slow it way down 🙂
