My lovely mumma offered to look after Bubba Sunday afternoon and evening so I could have some rest. I went to visit one of my dear friends and spent a wonderful couple of hours curled up on her couch catching up.
As I was driving home, work was on my mind. A few hours of Sunday evening ahead of me. And work. But it was Sunday afternoon. And I really really needed some down time. Some puppy time. Some couch time. Some not doing anything time.
So, this is what I should have been doing.
And this is what I was doing instead.
Choices. We make them all day every day. And yesterday I’m glad I chose the latter. {Even if ignoring the former kept me awake in the middle of the night.}
As a little aside: I’m sure most of you have seen this as it’s doing the rounds on social media, but I love it so much I’m sharing it. This cat made a choice: a choice to be more dog! A little Monday happiness for you.
Refreshing, like your writing style 🙂
Thanks!
I made the same choice last night! and ‘Be more Dog’ has just made my day! Thanks for sharing!
Sometimes we all need ‘downtime’ in order to recharge the batteries – listening to what our bodies need is far more important than any work that can wait another 12 hours.
You made a great choice – everyone needs a little ‘me’ time.
I think you were very wise!
