I knew they’d come in handy eventually

Tonight I was glad I had done some forward planning. As I reached for the unopened box of Winnie the Pooh band-aids, I realised that I bought them two years ago.

Thankfully tonight was the first time I needed to use one.

I was sitting with Bubba chatting. We’d just chosen approximately 84 stories to read before bed. And all of a sudden her finger was bleeding. It can only have been a paper cut. It happened so quickly and there was nothing sharp anywhere near her.

Lucky for us, this is the first bloody injury she’s had. And I knew I had the perfect band-aids for the girl who is currently obsessed with The Tigger Movie.

She was very interested in the blood, my cleaning it up and then the application of the band-aid. And I also got to kiss her sore finger better about one thousand times.

Obviously I’m okay with that.

That’s so good that she handled her first bloody booboo so well. Fortunately it was just a small one!
