Art therapy

Bubba was having a bit of an ordinary day on Sunday. She was very sad in the morning and more than a little clingy. I thought a bit of painting might help. She LOVES to paint and it was a lovely day so I set her up on the deck with some coloured cardboard, a couple of paintbrushes and a sponge. Then I told her she could just use her fingers if she wanted to.

Art therapy: one happy little Love Bug after an hour of painting.

Feels good as you rub it into your arms too. And as with everything you do when you’re concentrating hard, it’s easier with your tongue out.

She told me she was painting Beary {below}, when I asked if the bit at the top right was his tail? It’s my Beary love mumma. Once she said that I could see a heart with a wagging tail.

Making a frog mumma!

All dry and hanging in her gallery {aka her wardrobe doors}!

  1. Definitely a heart with a tail! I see it as plain as day! Precious photos and artwork to treasure.

You are so smart. That is not only a good way to focus her away from sadness but to let her express, through pictures, what is going on inside (around Beary right now). Love the gallery, what a great idea.

    1. Intuitive rather than smart maybe, but thanks!
