We’ve been super busy {even busier than usual!} since we moved into our new home.
Although I still have a couple of projects on the go {the chest of drawers, some more wall fun, an art/craft station, rug and some warmer pieces} yesterday saw the big transformation of Love Bug’s room to that of a little girl … past even the toddler stage. It was a really happy/sad moment for mumma and there may have been tears.
We haven’t got a big girl bed yet because she’s still happy in the cot. Mumma is still happy that she is in the cot too and hasn’t yet had the inclination – despite sleeping with the side at half mast for the past 6 months at least – to climb out. Only in. All in good time. Of course, it would also help if Mumma could decide whether to just go straight to a real big girl bed or whether to transition to another smaller bed first. Again, all in good time.
After a couple of weeks of recycling/upcycling/restoring/moving in/moving out of pieces, Love Bug’s bedroom now looks a little something like this.
We had so much fun doing it together. It’s all very summery now so we’ll warm it up for winter with a rug {again, how on earth does a mumma decide which one!} and some warmer throws.
Let me know if there’s anything you want to know about in more detail.
An art note: Love Bug’s insanely gorgeous first piece of art Pink was painted by my very dear and seriously talented friend. Watch this space for a feature blog about her soon.
A real beautiful space MJ! Love it! Kevin McCloud would be proud! 🙂

Isn’t he fabulous? My friend is so clever! xx
It’s gorgeous and suits her perfectly. You answered my question, which would’ve been, “Where did you get that unusual, original, crazy pig??! I’m looking forward to the post about the artist.
First off – I absolutely LOVE the pig. It’s gorgeous! Snorts. I have that book “Guess How Much I Love You” in my collection as well. Mom has read it to me a time or a hundred – 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
