Early on Sunday morning my little Urban Princess could be found giving her new friend Squirrel {Nutkin} a ride around on her bike.
Wearing wings of course. And a t-shirt with drums on it.
A couple of hours later she swapped wings for a tiara and tutu skirt to go to a party.
Ah the life of an Urban Princess.
Of the two, she was happiest at home. She is such a shy little homebody my Love Bug. She goes to ballet and happily dances but doesn’t say boo. At the party yesterday she barely spoke a word to anyone except to say happy birthday, thank you and to will me to her side {I wasn’t even supposed to be there}. Even when I drop her to kindy she is still super shy and will often be found doing her own thing when the other kids are playing together.
I hope she grows out of her shyness, even just a little.
So sweet. Just keep her out there and feeling safe, the rest will follow.
That’s what I’m hoping for!
I bet she won’t be shy around me.
No, she’s never shy around fuzzies she loves Bongo!
She’ll get there I am sure.
I grew out of being super-shy. I hope she does, too. Were you shy when you were little?
None of us are overly outgoing in social situations. I’ve been trying really hard to be better at it as an example to her. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them how I feel but I live by the fake it until you make it motto when it comes to being social!!
