So proud

I feel like I’ve mentioned the tricky days of motherhood but today is all about a wonderful day. Well, most days are wonderful, it’s just that some of them have the occasional not so wonderful moment.

Yesterday my Love Bug was the poster child for angelic. We spent the majority of our day out. We visited with friends in a cafe for breakfast. We visited with other friends in their home. Aside from books {but a mumma who was more interested in chatting than reading in those moments} there were no ‘toys’ to speak of.

We popped home for her afternoon sleep, then headed out again to meet our family in the city, have dinner and see the lights of the Vivid Festival.

To add to our adventure we traveled in on the ferry.

She was perfectly behaved, entertained and entertaining. She was good humoured until the moment I put her to bed – 2.5 hours later than usual. Even later than planned having been told the wrong ferry to get on for our return journey, placing is and our car too far apart to walk. Thankfully some friends came to our rescue.

I had told her a few times during the day how proud I was of her, and showered her in kisses as I told her one last time as she drifted off to sleep.

So proud!

  1. File this memory to pull out and immerse yourself in when you need it. So sweet.

  2. Jarrod says:

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found
a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear
and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and
it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I
    had to tell someone!
