Running on empty

I am looking out the window at the vast beautiful sky. The clouds don’t look as heavy as they have the past few days and the weekend stretches out before me.

But I’m running on empty.

Running on empty

Funny how a couple of days with a lot going on in your mind can do that to you.

Thoughts that wake you up in the middle of the night.

Flashes of anxiety and concern that tap you on the shoulder at the strangest of times.

There is much to be happy about and excited for.

But for the moment it has been zapped by a draining feeling.

Nothing seems quite right. Everything is a little off kilter.
