{I posted this on social media yesterday and it has so far had 500 likes and elicited many comments and good feeling. Seemed only reasonable to share it with you.}
Mumma, I found this beautiful little green worm sharing our blueberries. I’m going to take him outside.
{He’s currently squiggling around the edge of the plate in her hand.}
I hear giggling. Are you okay Love Bug?
He’s crawling on my arm and it’s tickling me.
Out the back door she finally gets and I hear this {side of the} conversation:
What’s your name little friend? Oh that’s a lovely name.
I’m just going to put you in my animal hostipal {aka the graveyard complete with freshly picked flowers and stones laid every day which she has created beneath our gardenia bush for little bugs who haven’t been quite so lucky as caterpillar} because you might be a little bit scared and it’s lovely here.
I’ll leave you this special leaf so you know you can come back if you need me.
I’ll miss you. Thank you for visiting me.

Love this!
Such a sweet story.
So beautiful.
My little one does these exact things! The neighbours son squashed a snail and she was devastated! lots of tears for the poor snail
