Two perfect pink lines and one very happy Aunty

This morning I peed on a stick. I’ve been too scared to until now in case there weren’t two lines (I’m not sure why considering I’ve had my blood test)? Anyway, I now have the stick I’ve always wanted – a stick with two beautiful perfect lines on it, yay.

I absolutely can not wait to see my sister!!! I stood waiting at international arrivals so excited to see her. I think everyone around me must have thought I was a lunatic standing there (well, pacing actually – standing still was utterly impossible) looking at my sign and smiling a smile that threatened to be an all out belly laugh at the sheer joy of what it said.

I wanted to run up to her and jump on her as soon as I saw her, but I did my best impression of a statue instead – holding the sign that would confirm what she probably already suspected.

She did a double take of the sign I was holding up “welcome home Aunty” then responded exactly as I thought she would: super excited. As in very very excited. Crazy excited even. There were hugs, tears, jumping around and general excitement. Even more than there normally is at the international arrivals terminal (cue Love Actually, naturally).

Now it feels real – two perfect pink lines and one very happy Aunty.
