Bubba gives me cuddles. And Eskimo kisses accompanied by giggles too, but that’s a whole other heart-exploding moment. Her cuddles have started including a little tickle at the base of my neck.

She’s also started doing this gorgeous little thing where if I’m carrying her facing me she pats my shoulders and rubs the top of my arms.

Her level of cuteness is ridonculous (yes, I am making up words now – that’s how cute she is)!

Our perfectly relaxing weekend afternoon yesterday included a trip to the park, then home to play ball with the dogs, then playing percussion instruments along with whatever tunes my iPod was playing. Here’s a tip from mumma: it is really hard to play an instrument, sing along and take a photo that’s not blurry all at the same time, maybe because I was having too much fun to stay still?!

In this one, Bubba is jamming to some old school Elton – Bennie & the Jets.

And here we both are, singing along with George & Aretha to I knew you were waiting (for me).

After her early bath (it’s getting really cool here now in the evenings so I bath her earlier on the weekends so she doesn’t get too chilly), we read some books, then had a lovely big bowl of roasted vegetables followed by some vanilla poached pears (a result of buying what looked good on our trip to the farmers’ market after swimming lessons on Saturday), then we cuddled up to watch Guess How Much I Love You.

I think that’s as close to perfection as life gets.
