There are defining moments in the life of a mumma when she has a daughter. Some of those are big things like first steps and first words, the moment you get your first kiss just because Bubba wants to show you her love.
Then, for this mumma at least, there are other, smaller girl only things which may not seem significant to others. In fact, they may pass unnoticed.
But for me, wanting to be a mumma for so long and always hoping for a daughter, there are defining moments which to most are just ordinary things, yet still take my breath away.
Like the day I put Bubba’s hair in pig tails for the first time –ย exactly two years to the day since I found out I was pregnant.
And yesterday, when I realised that her hair, with the aid of a couple of clips to hold her whispy side pieces (just like her mumma still does!), was long enough to wear in a real ponytail.
She looks like such a little girl. With a perfect profile, a gorgeous pony tail, and a mumma who may burst from the pure joy Bubba’s every day brings!
I absolutely love the way you describe things, I feel like I am right there! Bubba you are a cutie ๐
Thanks – it’s pretty nice being right here, although I’m sure Bubba would love some more puppy cuddles with your crew!
And they would be more than happy to oblige her ๐
She has such a cute ponytail! I bet she loves it too.
Bubba looks gorgeous xx
That is one perky pony tail! Pippi Longstocking has nothing on Bubba!! Adorable.

Gosh, she looks so cute! I miss those days. Though I’m kind of happy that Dimples can do her own ponytails now b/c she always screamed like I was torturing every time I touched a brush to her scalp.
There’s not much brush action that goes on – it’s more scraping as much hair as mumma can with her fingers! She doesn’t stay still long enough for a brush ๐
A pony tail is definitely a milestone for a little girl and momma. such s darling pony tail too ๐
