Bubba was done with her dinner.
Finished.
Not having another bite.
Except that she’d only had about three bites. And she’s not a fussy eater by any means. In fact, she usually eats like a baby dinosaur: anything I put in front of her goes straight in.
So what did I do? I did what I thought I’d neverΒ do as a mumma, I resorted to providing a pool of sauce in the middle of her plate for her to dip her vegetarian sausages and broccoli bites into.
Sure, it was home-made roast tomato sauce made with organic ingredients. But it’s still sauce!
And she ate it.
Even though she looked totally unimpressed at my little trick.

Never feel guilty about sauce bribery. Tooo cute
Why are you anti-sauce? Sauce is awesome. What am I missing??
Sauce-some maybe? I just thought I’d never be one to drown the taste of food in sauce – or trick my bubba into eating!
Ha! That’s funny! Be happy that it worked. My parents used to just make me sit there till I finished. Hours sometimes – especially when my mother cooked escarole or anything with beans. I cried. A little sauce would’ve been a Godsend back then! π
Bubba has become an epicure and will be demanding home-made sauces with every meal! π
Lucky her mumma makes home-made everything!
You should have tried her wiv some Wagg gravy that is what we put on Ernests dinner if he is beign a fussy eater!! http://www.waggfoods.com/products/UK/wagg-dog-gravy BOL
Ha ha ha! Dalton, I’m not sure she’d be too keen, but Bella and Beary would probably like to share her dinner even more if it had Wagg gravy on it!
Hee hee I bet they would!!
That is the most precious picture! What a cutie π
