Waking up on top of the world

I had another horrid night of tossing and turning last night. Although, according to many of the Facebook status updates I read between 1 and 5am, I wasn’t alone.

When the time came to get Bubba up and ready for her day I went into her room to find a giggling, happy little girl singing to herself and dancing with Apollo. She was ready with a big hello mumma, hi and a smile as wide as the ocean just for me.

When Beary came in she reached for him hi my Bear Bear. While getting her dressed she called out to Bella. It’s very rare for Bella to not be there the minute Bubba is out of her bed. When Bella came in, Love Bug patted her head and looked into Bella’s eyes: hi buddy. Um, hi buddy?! Since when? The. cutest. *sigh*

Today is a day I wish I had the innocence of my Bubba. Waking up on top of the world must feel something like this:

good morning world
good morning world

Because days like today it’s just too tricky to have to be the grown up.

  1. I love, love, love that happy face! Ah, yes. To have that sweet innocence.

Thanks for ‘liking’ Sage! We’re just getting started, so we’ll see where it leads!

    1. I probably should make a Facebook page for us too. All the cool kids are doing it 🙂

      1. They didn’t used to allow it, but I guess things change! It was really easy to do.

  2. I love that beautiful, happy girl!

      1. I know you think she’s beautiful because she’s your daughter, but I can objectively say that she’s one of the most beautiful kids I’ve ever seen!

      2. Awww, thank you. The best part is that she has such a sunny disposition and I think when people meet her in person that makes her even more gorgeous 🙂

      3. The perfect combination!

  3. That is definitely a wonderful, pure way to wake up. I’m sure a lot of it rubbed off on you, even if you weren’t feeling it at first. 🙂

    1. Hard not to smile and scoop her up for a cuddle when greeted with that lovely smile!
