Unexpected fun

The last couple of times I’ve made my bed, Love Bug has been very keen to help.

At least, she’s very keen to collapse onto the pile of pillows on the floor, pull the sheets which are waiting to go on the bed over her, close her eyes and say I asleep {with a big grin on her face} then pounce up I awake, giggling!

When the time comes to let her know I need the sheets for the bed, she helps me tuck the bottom sheet in, although I am a little nervous of her tiny fingers, my iron bed and my heavy mattress, so find myself continually saying be careful of your hands Bubba.

Where’s the unexpected fun you’re wondering?

It’s all in the parachute top sheet!

The unexpected fun comes when you put the top sheet on. Or rather, when you hold the edges of the top sheet and throw it up in the air from either side of the bed and it comes down like a parachute.

I know what you’re probably thinking: this is just another thing that’s now going to take so much longer than it ever did before.

making the bed is fun

I guess it is. But who wouldn’t want to see that gorgeous face at least 84 times before you get around to actually making the bed?

I thought so!

Thanks for reminding me of that great fun with Peanut. Only 84 times? LOL

  2. She’s trapped in the sheets and you’re trapped in the moment! It’s the right place to be!

  3. I should have tried that game with Dimples when she was younger to get her in the bed-making habit!

    1. As long as you’re not too worried about the wrinkles in the sheets 😉
