Get the F@$% in your car seat

This may seem a strange title for a post on Mother’s Day.

These moments are part of the motherhood journey, whether we welcome them or not. They are sent to teach us things. Like how not to yell in the street {fail} or delayed gratification {we were going to get coffee, could explain my previous fail}.

get the f@$% into your car seat

All jokes aside, moments like these teach me that my precious Bubba is becoming a person with thoughts, actions and a will of her own. And even if at moments that will is at odds with mine, that’s life.

And they’re just as precious as all of the cuddles, kisses and I love yous. Because without them, I wouldn’t be a mumma. And that is a life I can’t imagine.

Happy Mother’s Day to my own beautiful mumma – I can only hope to be half the parent you are. I love you.

I love this photo. It brings me back!

    1. I can’t wait until the day it takes me back, rather than being my every day!

  2. Gotta take the good with the naughty! That’s what my mom does…

    Love and licks,

You mean Bubba isn’t perfect? She is when she sends me little girl loves. Happy Mother’s Day!

    1. Bubba’s loves are perfect, you’re right! Thanks Bongo x

  4. Oh the dreaded car seat battle. This is the only time where I am uber consistent in my parenting (for obvious reasons). Yet the battle continues. If I’m losing on this battle, I don’t stand a chance on the battle over cookies because I cave on a regular basis there. Hope you have a great Mother’s Day!

    1. I”m tough as well, it’s just exhausting! I hope you’ve had a lovely day too.

  5. I had to giggle when I read the post title. Somehow, I knew it would be amusing 🙂 Every day is a new learning opportunity, right? She’s such a love filled little gal most the time, which makes up for most of the naughtiness hopefully…Happy Mother’s Day!

    1. It’s her learning she can decide. I just wish it wouldn’t be quite so often when I need to do boring things like go to work 🙂

Happy Mothers’ Day!! You’ve become so wise in the art of mothering as these thoughts show. And I’m sure today got better as it went on. Grandma would have been doubly celebrated – as Mum and as Grandma!

I so admire how you manage the ups and downs of this wonderful role. You also have the great blessing of a small extended family who are there for you whenever you need them.

Love you very much, and am enormously proud to be your
    Aunty Marg xxxx

Oh dear i had to laugh when i saw this. Just the other day i sent a picture of Miss almost 2 sitting next to her seat (not in it) with an extremely grumpy look on her face to which i wrote “i give up we’re staying home”.

    Happy Mother’s Day 🙂

    1. I actually closed the door and said ‘right, we’re not going anywhere’ but then had to open it and practically sit on her to get her in the chair. If only it was a one-off!! Hope you’ve had a great day too. x

  8. She does not look like a happy camper.

    1. You should have seen mumma!
