She can read to me forever

I love our time curled up together reading. Since I was 5 months pregnant I have read to Bubba every night {for those of you who are a little newer to our story, I read Guess How Much I Love You to my bump each night before I went to sleep and it was the first book I read her when she was born}.

Love Bug has started reading her books to me. Or reading them aloud to the puppies or to her Easter Rabbit.

It’s hard to capture on film because her shyness takes over as soon as I pull my phone out.

Tonight she was eating dinner {yes, that is a bowl of porridge – we started with pasta, tried some rice with veggies, but porridge was the thing she ended up eating!} and we were talking about books. I had my phone beside me so it was easy enough to pick it up and start filming without being too obvious when she said to me I show you mumma.

She can read to me forever.

Her response makes me smile when she tells me an object is something {apple} and I say what it is {plum}, then she looks earnestly at me and says but it’s like apple. Of course it is Bubba!

I love the sound of her little voice and adore that she gets louder and more high-pitched the more excited she is by the story, like when the caterpillar becomes a beauful bufferfly.

I hope I never forget that sound.

That’s adorable! I think we have a life-long reader here!

And I want you to know that my blog had outrageously high readership yesterday, far surpassing anything I’ve ever posted before. So the message is getting out there through each of us. Take heart!
