Being a tourist in your home town

Over the weekend Bubba and I had the joy of showing some out-of-towners around our beautiful city. These friends of Bongo‘s were unexpectedly in Sydney for a little while, so we took them on a drive to some of the vantage points around our gorgeous harbour.

We had a lovely brunch at Nielsen Park Cafe {where Bongo somehow magically joined us} and later stopped for delicious Gelato Messina {unfortunately not sponsored, but well worth the mention!}. Bubba and I got in on the action and took our own touristy selfies photos. It was a lot of fun, and the weather was spectacular.

When was the last time you took a tour of the place you live and took it all in like you were seeing it for the first time?

  1. So nice of you both to take Bongo’s friends under your generous wings and make them feel at home…. Sweet selfie!

I knew it! I knew it! I really was in Sydney. My person tried to tell me I wasn’t. Oh, and my person says thanks for being so gracious to her friends – except she’s worried that they’ll like Sydney so much that they won’t want to come back home. I would stay (I mean, what’s better than little girl loves every day), but I guess I’d miss my trails too much.

    1. Your friends made us promise to come visit!

Woo woo! I can’t wait till you come. You’ll love Sedona, and all of Arizona – as long as you don’t come when it’s summer here.

      2. We’re planning a Disneyland trip just before Bubba starts big school {end of 2015} so it will be then 🙂
