Free fruit for kids

One of our local fruit markets, Harris Farm, has this great basket at the entrance, filled with delicious fruit … free for kids. This is a fabulous idea for so many different reasons, not the least of which are the ability to get around the market without needing to bring a snack!

Of course, the best part of this idea is encouraging kids to be healthy and eat nutritious fruit. And in case you were wondering, not just apples and bananas – Love Bug thoroughly enjoyed her big juicy peach, and was quite keen to go back for the nectarine!
