Is running away an option?

The longer this not gainfully employed malarkey goes on, the more inclined I am to run away. Not forever, just perhaps until I win the lotto. Or maybe forever.

Whichever comes first.

If we were able to take Bella and Beary with us easily, I would be tempted to follow through with one of my 3am ideas and sell everything we own and head to the airport.

First stop Italy.

Last week I was wearing a dress with a print of the Eiffel Tower on it. Love Bug asked me what that pretty building was so I told her it was in Paris and that we would go there one day.

I think we should go there today mumma.

So maybe first stop Paris.

Is running away an option?

We could probably do a global trip and visit all of our blogging friends along the way – what a lovely thought!

  1. It sounds like a great idea. That ‘sure-let’s-go’ attitude makes it seem OK, somehow….

I can not believe that I have been unemployed now for 11 months. I would love to run away too. But no matter where you run, there you are. Making a new start could be a great option while Bubba is young, as long as they animals can follow when you are settled. If you dream it, you can make it a reality. Peanut always wanted to go to Paris and London, so that is where we went for her 16th birthday. You girls will get there too. Best of luck. Something will come (they keep telling me). – Lorian

    1. I can’t believe it’s been 11 months for you either … I so clearly remember your post about it. If I get an offer to relocate I’ll definitely consider it. Not that I want to uproot our family but Love Bug is young enough as you say. The trouble with Australia being so far from everything is that it makes relocating the 4 of us a little trickier. Hopefully we’ll both have something new soon. People keep telling me I should enjoy the time off, but I’m too stressed about not knowing when my next pay is coming! Paws crossed. x

I absolutely understand. I am in the US but have good friends in Australia going through the layoff struggle there too. I do not know where the time went but it has been no vacation, and unless people are in the same boat, they really don’t get that it isn’t a stress free holiday. Yes you are very far from everything (except maybe NZ – LOL).
