Thank you for your comments, emails and messages in various forms.. Bella is clinically in very good shape for her age with one exception.

She’s going back to the vet next Friday for a full suite of tests to find out more of what we’re dealing with, and hopefully there will be a straight forward solution. If it happens that what we are dealing with is not so straight forward, then I’m incredibly glad all of her other bits are in very good shape.

I think the abundance of love she’s been on the receiving end of {and returned 100-fold} over the past 3,500 or so days must have helped!

The vet hospital we go to has wonderful, supportive vets, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that I am really disappointed {for me!} that our favourite vet, who has been seeing us since Bella was 3, is on extended leave … which started this week.

The vet who is treating Bella for this round seemed to catch on pretty quickly though – maybe because of the vice grip I had on Bella and the shaking of my voice as I gave her a quick update of how we found each other and our life so far.
