How fragile we are

Not that I really need to be reminded, but the past 48 hours has brought home to me once again just how fragile we are. I stayed at home with Love Bug yesterday and we laid low for the day so she could try to regain some of her strength. Our lovely friend Jodie popped in with a few grocery items we were in need of {thanks honey} and other than that, I worked from the couch with my laptop and slept when Bubba did.

Which is lucky because at 2am today the little germs which had invaded Love Bug decided to pay mumma a visit. Isn’t it amazing how comfortable you can make yourself on a cold hard bathroom floor with a few towels, and how much easier that seems than having to drag yourself the 3 metres to bed and back?

At one point I was in the kitchen bent over from dizziness. Bella and Beary were instantly at my front and back, propping me up like bookends. Bless their fuzzy little hearts.

Although still tired, Bubba was keen to go to kindy today. I’m not even mildly exaggerating when I tell you it took us 90 minutes to achieve that task. Kindy is approximately an 8 minute drive from our front door. We were like a pair of 95 year olds the pace we were moving. But we got there, and I got home. Where I am now in bed with fuzzy company.

Although the bathroom floor is looking inviting. Might make myself a hot water bottle on the way, so I should be there by lunchtime.

Look after yourself. It’s not easy to be unwell with a smallie. Best wishes.
