When I saw Teresa Cutter’s recipe for Salted Nut Butter Cookies in my inbox the other day, part of me though oh yeah and part of me thought oh no.
Oh yeah because, well, cookies with no dairy, no refined sugar and no flour. Oh no because, well, that. Love Bug and I made ours with cashew nut butter {organic and all cashew, no other nasties in the jar} and some honey from our friends at the farmers’ market. I put some crushed macadamias on some and some organic dark chocolate chips in others. Surprising even myself, I wouldn’t use chocolate chips again. They’re good, but the ones with the crushed macadamias on top are delicious.
At her request, Love Bug and I also made some more bliss balls. This week we made them using cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamias, organic dried cherries, organic coconut, maca powder, organic raw cacao, coconut oil and organic maple syrup. Similar recipe here.
Love Bug, did you eat the bliss ball mix straight out of the bowl?
Whatever would make you think she ate the batter from the bowl? Is there a little clue I’m missing….?
Licking out the bowl is one of the best bits!!
